Notice of Race; June 9 & 10, 2007
23rd Annual
Blackbeard Sailing Club,
Rules: This regatta will be governed by (2005-2008) The Racing Rules of Sailing, the
prescriptions of US Sailing and the rules of the respective class associations,
except as altered by the Sailing Instructions.
Classes: This is an open regatta. Expected classes include: PHRF Spinnaker,
Non-spinnaker & Cruising, with PHRF breaks around 100 & 200 as
determined solely by the R/C, San Juan 21, Sunfish, Junior Sunfish, Flying
Scot, Laser, Ensigns, Tanzer 16, Optimist, Isotope, etc. Three boats will constitute a class. PHRF boats must have a valid NC-PHRF Rating
Certificate. One Design classes will race in the creek at the discretion of the
Race Committee. PHRF courses will be in the
Registration: Registration fees will be $20.00 for junior sailors (age 16 and
under), $35.00 for adult
single-handed boats, $40.00 for all
others. US Sailing members, may
deduct $5.00 upon providing member
number.
Schedule: Friday, June 8 The
club will be open at noon. Limited
camping and dockage is available.
Saturday, June 9 08:30
– 10:30 Late registration. Coffee and donuts served in the
clubhouse.

of accidents and expressly agrees that Blackbeard Sailing Club (hereinafter
called the sponsors) shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss
or injury to participants or others, or for the loss of or damage to any boat,
and the undersigned hereby further agrees to indemnify and hold the sponsors
free and harmless under, from and against any and all losses, costs, damages,
attorney’s fees and liability of any kind or nature whatsoever growing our of
or resulting from participating in the above race.
