Inaugural East Carolina Bank Sailing Regatta
Blackbeard Sailing Club, New Bern, North Carolina
(An ICRC Team Event)
Rules: This regatta will be governed by (2005-2008) The Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of US Sailing and the rules of the respective class associations, except as altered by the Sailing Instructions.
Classes: This is a PHRF Regatta for boats 21 feet or over with a valid NCPHRF Rating Certificate. Classes may include; Spinnaker; Non-Spinnaker; & Cruising. Class breaks on PHRF will be around 100 & 200 as determined solely by the R/C. Three boats will constitute a class. Boats will race in their assigned PHRF Class.
Dockage: Limited dockage is available. A shuttle service for anchored boats will be available, via VHF channel 72.
Registration: Registration fee: $40.00. US Sailing members, may deduct $5.00 upon providing member number.
Schedule: Friday, April 27 05:30 PM to 8:00PM Registration
Saturday, April 28 08:30 AM – 11:00 AM Late registration. Coffee and donuts available.
11:00 AM Skippers Meeting.
No Pets please! TBA First Warning Signal & times for the various classes will be
announced at skippers meeting. Subsequent race(s)
to follow at the discretion of the Race Committee.
6:00 PM Refreshments & appetizers available at hospitality tent.
6:30 PM Catered Italian Meal includes;
Pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, baked zetti, salad, garlic bread, and tea.
Sunday, April 29 9:30 AM First Warning Signal, subsequent race(s) to follow at the
discretion of the Race Committee.

The undersigned also hereby assumes all risks of accidents and expressly agrees that Blackbeard Sailing Club, or East Carolina Bank, (hereinafter called the sponsors) shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss or injury to participants or others, or for the loss of or damage to any boat, and the undersigned hereby further agrees to indemnify and hold the sponsors free and harmless under, from and against any and all losses, costs, damages, attorney’s fees and liability of any kind or nature whatsoever growing our of or resulting from participating in the above race.
