Orion prays for wind but gets a cocktail and a tan instead

While we were sailing locally, Mark Brennesholtz took Compass Rose to Block Island Race week and sailed to a second place finish in his fleet. Based on the way Compass Rose has sailed on the Neuse for the last year or two, I have to assume that the winning boat was very good. Congratulations Mark.

Upcoming events are the Hancock Cup on July 10 and 11, and the second ICRC race, which is now called the Dragon's Breath Regatta, in Oriental on July 31 and Aug 1. As you know we won the first ICRC race this year and need to have a strong showing at the Dragon's Breath in order for NYRA to win the 2004 ICRC team award. This race is also expected to be the debut of Eddy Parker's brand spanking new Beneteau 36.7 Brown Eyed Girl (named after his daughter Sarah).
