NYRA Board Meeting 4/3/04

The following attended the board meeting, or were briefed shortly afterwards:

The board was unanimous in their endorsement for incorporating NYRA.

The Vice Commodore reported that all planning for the NYRA Invitational and Women's Regatta were on track. He also reported that there will not be a Michelob Cup this year but we will try to get it back on the schedule for 2005.

Actions from the meeting: Have the Commodore pursue getting credit for past insurance payments if the insurance was not valid prior to incorporation.

Ask the Secretary to email all clubs about the NYRA Invitational and Women's regatta

Send email to NYRA members to encourage participation in in the ICRC race.

Unfinished Business:
Present updated treasurer's report

Develop and publish guidelines for Patron membership

Continue to improve news letter and web site in order to make it the place to go for upper Neuse race info.

Drive to get more past members to join for 2004.

I would like for the Vice Commodore to provide the board with a email update, by the end of
April, on the planning for the Women's Regatta and the NYRA Invitational. We also need to
get the NOR published and emailed to the local clubs ASAP.
