Friday, March 20: 

4:00-9:00 pm: Registration and Pre-Race Social at BridgePointe Marina Skippers can pick up their complimentary skipper bags (with goodies from all our sponsors). There will also be a live broadcast of ESPN Sports Radio’s The Drive with Mark Panichelli on 103.9 FM / 1490 AM in New Bern and 1570 AM in Greenville with Free Beer and Wings compliments of Beer Army Foundation and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Saturday, March 21:

8:00 am: Full Breakfast, Late Registration at BridgePointe Marina

9:00 am: Skippers’ Meeting

10:55 am: Racing begins

5:00 pm onward ?: Post-Race Social and Buffet Dinner by Strange & Sons Catering (Grilled Steak, Honey BBQ Chicken, Summer Harvest Salad, Twice-baked Potato, Zucchini Squash Medley, Roasted Corn, Yeast Roll, and Vanilla Cake). Full Cash Bar with some free draft beer provided by Industry Standard Engineers & Consultants - PLLC. Live Music throughout the evening from Civil Defense.

Sunday, March 22:

8:00 am: Continental Breakfast at BridgePointe Marina

10:55 am: Racing begins in the Neuse River 3:00 pm: Post-Race Social and Awards presentation at BridgePointe Marina 

One-design and PHRF Racing just off Historic Downtown New Bern Waterfront BridgePointe Marina & Hotel will host the event at their new marina facility in New Bern adjacent to the Cunningham Bridge. Discounted deep-water slips for PHRF boats will be offered at $1 per foot, compliments of BridgePointe Marina, on a space available basis. Discounted room rates will also be offered at the BridgePointe Hotel. The BridgePointe Hotel has 116 spacious and well-appointed guest rooms and suites all featuring free wireless internet, refrigerators, microwaves, irons/ironing boards, coffee makers, and hairdryers. Riverview rooms and Jacuzzi Suites are available and BridgePointe is Pet Friendly! Reservation information: http://www.bridgepointe.com-- Please mention that you are part of the NYRA Invitational to receive discounted rates. One-design classes (SJ21, Sunfish, Laser, Ensign, Topaz, 420s, FJs, Optimists, etc.) will race just off Union Point in downtown New Bern. Multiple races are planned for each day. Anticipated PHRF handicapped classes are Spinnaker, Non-Spinnaker, and Cruising. If two or more multi-hull PHRF boats register, we will have a multi-hull PHRF class. An appropriate course down the Neuse River and back will be set for the anticipated weather conditions. One race is planned for each day. Separate Race Committee boats will be assigned to the PHRF class to insure the ability to change course if conditions should warrant.The Cruising class is offered to encourage normally non-racing boats and sailors to participate. Boats without a current rating certificate will be assigned a handicap by the race committee and may race in any class. Skippers who wish to register their Boats in the Cruising Class must adhere to the ICRC Cruising Class rules. The scoring system will be Time-on-Time for PHRF boats. One completed race will constitute a regatta. Awards will be given in One-Design, Spinnaker, Non-Spinnaker, and Cruising classes as deemed appropriate by the PRO. Awards will be based on the number of entries in each class. Two registered boats constitute a class.
